PGGM Secures Mobile Devices with Good Technology

PGGM, a Netherlands-based pension management and asset-management firm overseeing roughly EUR 188 billion in assets, needed to enable flexible, mobile workspaces for its 1,300 employees while meeting strict Dutch central bank security requirements. After introducing iPads, the company found device security insufficient and required a mobility platform that could secure a variety of smartphones and tablets, provide safe access to email, IM and SharePoint, and support PDF and Office editing.

PGGM selected Good Technology’s Mobility Suite and deployed Good for Enterprise, Good Share, Good Connect and Good Access plus third-party apps (Notate, iAnnotate, Polaris Office) and a secured meeting app, rolling out the solution in two weeks. The result: secure, VPN-free mobile access, easier IT management with remote wipe and a self-service portal, no significant increase in management costs, and safe BYOD use—including planned support for wearables—while keeping business and personal data separated.
