Citi Orient Securities Improves Efficiency and Enhances Security with BlackBerry UEM and Awingu

Citi Orient Securities, a Shanghai-based joint venture between Orient Securities and Citi Global Finance Asia with about 400 employees, needed a way to securely enable mobile work for frequently traveling investment teams. Facing a high-risk threat environment and growing endpoint/IoT exposure, the bank required unified mobile endpoint management and convenient, compliant remote access without disrupting workflows.

Citi Orient deployed BlackBerry UEM alongside BlackBerry Work, Access and Dynamics, and integrated Awingu for secure, browser-based access to legacy apps and virtual desktops, with rollout support from Freelink. The combined solution streamlined mobile email and app access, simplified device recovery and desktop virtualization for key trading systems, improved operational efficiency and regulatory alignment, and reduced the risk of data leakage—while opening the door to deeper UEM–Awingu integration and advanced AI-driven security.
