Canadian Airline Exceeds Employee Expectations With Blackberry

Air Canada, one of the world’s largest airlines with more than 27,000 employees and operations across 180+ destinations, needed a reliable way to communicate with a highly mobile workforce while protecting corporate data. The airline sought a solution that would balance employees’ personal use with enterprise security and simplify device management across a distributed organization.

Air Canada deployed BlackBerry 10 smartphones managed by BES and used BlackBerry Balance to separate work and personal spaces. The rollout delivered faster, simpler device provisioning, improved employee communication and productivity (choice of Q10, Z10 and Z30 devices with long battery life), stronger encryption and access controls, and easier, centralized management — including streamlined cross-platform support and reduced IT overhead.
