Brodies LLP, Scotland’s largest law firm with more than 680 staff across Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dingwall, needed to keep full case files and client data accessible and secure while enabling lawyers to work anytime, anywhere. Although the firm had used BlackBerry for years, lawyers wanted broader app functionality and support for newer devices and device types without compromising confidentiality or regulatory compliance.

Brodies upgraded to BlackBerry UEM and deployed Corporate-Owned, Personally-Enabled Android Enterprise BlackBerry smartphones plus managed iPads, working with partner Appurity to roll out apps via managed Google Play (including Appurity’s Rubus and Docs to Go). The result is secure, searchable mobile access to iManage and firm systems from anywhere, streamlined device management and containerisation, reduced paper reliance in court and easy support for GDPR and device-wipe controls.
