BLM is a major UK and Irish law firm with 1,700 employees across thirteen offices, specialising in insurance, risk management and a wide range of legal services. Because over 800 of its staff are lawyers who need seamless mobile access to email, documents and third‑party apps, IT faced pressure to support Android and iOS while enforcing strict internal security and the ability to control or wipe devices — native consumer email and unmanaged smartphones were unacceptable.

BLM consolidated its mobile estate by migrating from BES and Good Work to BlackBerry UEM, BlackBerry Work and the BlackBerry Dynamics container with support from Appurity, deploying Android Enterprise and iOS under unified management. The result is strong, containerised security that preserves usability, simplifies regulatory compliance (including GDPR), keeps confidential client data under firm control, and sets the stage for mobile support of iManage and other productivity apps.
