BlackBerry Smartphones Help Multinational Company Deliver Mobile Email and Remote Printing to Mobile Employees

Essar Group, a diversified multinational with operations in more than 20 countries, needed a reliable way for traveling executives to access email and print documents remotely. The company also required a mobile solution that could be easily deployed across many different IT infrastructures and business units.

Essar deployed a BlackBerry Enterprise Server with about 3,500 BlackBerry smartphones and the HP ePrint Enterprise app, integrating with Microsoft Exchange to push email and sync contacts, calendars and tasks. The rollout improved connectivity, speed of correspondence and overall productivity, provided simple mobile printing for urgent needs, and prompted plans to expand the BlackBerry fleet to around 6,000 devices.
