Case Study: Flughafen München achieves real-time, secure global communications with BlackBerry

A BlackBerry Case Study

Preview of the Flughafen Munchen Case Study

Airport employees make global connections with BlackBerry Solution

Munich Airport (Flughafen München GmbH), Germany’s second-largest airport and a major regional employer with over 27,000 staff and about 90,000 daily passengers, depended on a large, mobile workforce frequently away from desks. The airport needed a flexible, easily deployable communications solution that delivered real-time email and secure access to enterprise data, with high reliability and centralized administration.

Flughafen München chose BlackBerry smartphones with BlackBerry Enterprise Server and ISEC7’s B*Nator monitoring/management platform, rolling the solution out to roughly 500 users. The deployment delivered always-on email and data access, stronger security, simplified administration and cost control, and measurable productivity gains—allowing staff to respond faster to partners and passengers with minimal training.
