A Blackbaud Case Study
The YMCA of Greater Louisville, a 165-year-old nonprofit serving more than 120,000 members across 15 branches, relied on a big annual fundraising campaign to support its programs. With roughly 600 active volunteers ready to amplify the campaign, the organization couldn’t scale peer-to-peer fundraising because volunteer pages had to be created and maintained manually by IT—straining already lean staff and limiting outreach.
To solve this, the YMCA implemented Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT and everydayhero, enabling volunteers to create and share their own branded campaign pages. The platform was deployed in weeks, eliminated IT involvement (saving about 100 hours), increased peer-to-peer pages by 136%, and tripled peer-to-peer funds in one fundraising period, while opening new virtual event and fitness-tracking fundraising opportunities.
