Evans Scholars Foundation, which has provided college tuition and housing to more than 10,000 caddies since 1930 and supports 870 scholars today, was struggling to manage rapid growth with a Microsoft Access database. The organization needed better constituent analytics, an integrated financial management system, and a low‑cost, easy way to accept credit‑card payments at more than 100 annual fundraising events to help raise the $42 million needed each year.

The Foundation implemented Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge for donor management, Financial Edge for accounting, and Blackbaud MobilePay with Blackbaud Merchant Services for offsite payments (later adding the RE:Event module). These tools gave staff instant access to donor data and analytics, streamlined accounting, and simplified event payments—saving about an hour of data entry per event and roughly 1% per transaction—while improving volunteer usability and expanding alumni outreach.
