A Blackbaud Case Study
Kilbryde Hospice, founded in 2001 to address a shortage of palliative care beds in South Lanarkshire, grew from a community appeal and a drop‑in day hospice into plans for a £3 million in‑patient facility. With fundraising previously managed by spreadsheets and lists, the organisation lacked a proper donor management system and brought in an experienced fundraising manager to overhaul its processes.
The hospice implemented Blackbaud’s cloud-based eTapestry as part of a three‑year strategy, choosing a cost‑effective solution that handled supporters, donors, volunteers and events without new IT infrastructure. As a result, fundraising work became far more efficient: activities, donations and events are managed centrally, staff can access accurate data and run rapid reports to analyse campaigns and events.
