The U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association & Foundation (USNA AA&F) is a nonprofit network supporting the Naval Academy and its 60,000+ constituents through engagement and philanthropy across chapters, class organizations, and parent clubs. Facing an inflexible, end-of-life fundraising system that limited constituent insight and fundraising effectiveness, the organization sought a modern solution to improve engagement and gifts.

USNA AA&F implemented Blackbaud CRM along with Target Analytics and Internet Solutions to automate processes, clean and centralize data, and enable self-service reporting. The move drove a $4.7M increase in fundraising, $647K in avoided labor costs, $593K in avoided maintenance costs, and five-year results of $5.9M in benefits versus $2.4M in costs (NPV $3.5M, ROI 143%, 2.5-year payback), while enabling 95% of reporting to be self-serve and faster, higher-quality donor analysis.
