A Blackbaud Case Study
The University of Wisconsin–Madison faced a decentralized, homegrown scholarship system that created confusing messaging for applicants and required schools and colleges to run many manual, time-consuming processes—especially for incoming student awards that were critical to recruitment.
By implementing Blackbaud Award Management, UW–Madison centralized all scholarship opportunities, automated student data imports and eligibility filtering, and streamlined offer and disbursement workflows. The solution cut the College of Letters & Science review time from 360 to 120 hours (about 2/3 less), improved visibility into student status, and made the process simpler for both administrators and students.
