The University of Oxford’s Oxford Thinking capital campaign, launched in 2008 with a £1.25bn target, required a more intuitive, image-driven website and simpler content and donation management to support a decade‑long fundraising effort and improve the donor journey as the campaign scaled.
Oxford migrated to Blackbaud Internet Solutions and Blackbaud CRM and partnered with a designer to build a responsive site, reduce page clutter, add custom content parts for fast updates, and integrate designation search so donation options pull directly from CRM. The result: simplified maintenance and automated data flows, a better donor experience, a single platform hosting 30 sites (including nearly 20 colleges), and a campaign that has raised more than £2.48bn with its goal increased to £3bn.
