A Blackbaud Case Study
The University of Central Missouri Alumni Foundation, which supports UCM’s 14,000-student community, wanted to move beyond email and direct mail to build deeper, grassroots connections with supporters. Staff sought a more robust, multi-channel peer-to-peer platform and a competitive element to energize fundraising, so they turned to Blackbaud’s everydayhero Pro.
Using everydayhero Pro (integrated with Raiser’s Edge NXT and Blackbaud tools), the Foundation piloted campaigns, refined its approach, and launched a branded Winter Guard drive with 40 student fundraisers and clear, itemized asks. Results: multiple quick-turn campaigns raised thousands (Winter Guard $6,000; several campaigns and pages raised ~$1,300 each), at least 75% of donors were new, donor data flowed into Raiser’s Edge NXT, and student engagement and a new pool of prospective supporters were created.
