University Medical Center (UMC) Foundation, a long-time Blackbaud customer, wanted to strengthen staff skills to streamline operations and improve outreach. Staff faced time-consuming manual processes—like paper-based gala check‑in and creating donor letters in Word—and needed a smarter approach to social media and constituent engagement.
By enrolling in Blackbaud University (including Event Management and social media best‑practices classes) and using the Learn Everything subscription, UMC implemented the RE:Event app with iPad check‑in, moved letter creation into Raiser’s Edge NXT with one‑click exports, and refocused social media on 2–3 networks. The result: simplified event workflows, faster donor acknowledgements, and increased online engagement and staff efficiency.
