A Blackbaud Case Study
Trafalgar School for Girls, a 135-year-old English-language all-girls school in Montreal, faced fragmented administration after each department used different software — six separate systems that created data silos and time-consuming manual work. The school needed a way to streamline admissions, enrollment, billing, financial aid, and communications so staff could spend more time on students and strategic projects, including a major capital campaign.
Trafalgar implemented Blackbaud’s Total School Solution (Enrollment Management, Billing Management, Student Information, Website System, and Raiser’s Edge NXT), hired a dedicated coordinator, and worked with a Blackbaud representative for training and rollout. The integrated platform automated workflows, eliminated duplicate entry (4–6× less data entry), saved an estimated 350 staff hours per year, achieved 100% parent adoption of online profiles, improved daily communication and billing efficiency, and supported fundraising for the Be Moved relocation campaign.
