A Blackbaud Case Study
The Morris and Rosalind Goodman Family Foundation, a Montreal-based family foundation founded in 2005 that supports scientific research, experiential education, and community capacity building across North America and Israel, had operated largely as a paper organization without a website or digital grantmaking tools. That limited its ability to reach prospective grantees, capture applicant data, build relationships, and efficiently manage cross-border grants and multiple currencies.
Partnering with Blackbaud Digital Services and Blackbaud Grantmaking, the Foundation launched a website and online application system that centralizes applicant data, automates currency conversions, and delivers in‑depth reporting. The result: increased grantee engagement and data points, reduced manual errors, unified multi-currency fund management, and stronger, data-driven board discussions and strategic planning—boosting transparency and long-term decision-making.
