The Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired Goodwill Uses The Raiser’s Edge to Maximize Fundraising Efficiency and Further Its Mission

The Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired — Goodwill (ABVI–Goodwill) is a New York nonprofit that prepares and empowers people who are blind or visually impaired to be self-sufficient. Spanning nine counties, the organization outgrew its legacy database (about 70,000 records) and needed a more powerful, dynamic fundraising system that was also compatible with JAWS screen‑reading software.

ABVI–Goodwill implemented The Raiser's Edge with Target Analytics and added RE:Event to better manage donors, prospects and fundraising events. The new tools increased fundraising revenue—supporting services like a low vision center, adaptive technology and rehabilitation—and JAWS compatibility enabled the organization to employ people who are blind or visually impaired and develop entrepreneurial initiatives to further its mission.
