Swim Across America organizes 18 charity swims nationwide to fund cancer research and clinical trials. With a seven-person team handling events, grant selection, state compliance and thousands of fundraisers, the organization needed to optimize limited staff resources while improving participant engagement and marketing visibility.

As an early adopter of Blackbaud’s peer-to-peer integration with Facebook Fundraisers, Swim Across America routed Facebook gifts directly into its fundraising platform, simplifying accounting, cutting staff time spent on reconciliation and giving participants near-real-time fundraising thermometers. The integration expanded reach and social visibility, helped launch two new swims, and contributed to double-digit revenue growth for the season—with many individual fundraisers reporting significantly higher results.
