A Blackbaud Case Study
Surrey Women’s Centre is a crisis centre serving women and girls escaping domestic and gender-based violence. Facing shrinking donor numbers and declining net proceeds as traditional telecanvassing lost effectiveness, the Centre needed more personalized communication, stronger donor relationships, and better online engagement to sustain and grow fundraising.
The Centre adopted Blackbaud’s Luminate Online and the Go! Program, consolidated constituent data, and launched multichannel campaigns—a diaper-themed e-card drive paired with social media promotion and a targeted email program. Within a year the email list grew from 1,700 to 5,500, social engagement surged, and online and offline revenue increased by more than 7,000% from 2009 to 2015, enabling deeper donor relationships and expanded services for women and children.
