A Blackbaud Case Study
Scottish Epilepsy Initiative, founded in 2003 to support the 54,000 people in Scotland living with epilepsy, initially relied on a few large corporate gifts and had no formal fundraising program. As the charity grew, the board created a fundraising team and hired a consultant who identified the need for a dedicated fundraising database to manage donors, events and funding applications.
The charity selected eTapestry for its ease of use, flexibility and affordability, especially suited to small or start-up organisations. After implementation, staff could track all donors, trust applications, events and appeals in one place, access accurate real-time records, and scale activity—resulting in rapidly increased fundraising and income that has almost tripled, with eTapestry playing a major role.
