St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation, a community-funded charity serving the town of St. Marys, Ontario, raises money for hospital equipment, facility upgrades and the local Wellness Centre. Faced with fragmented processes and the need to boost donor stewardship and fundraising effectiveness—especially important because provincial funding covers only operating costs—the Foundation needed to modernize its systems after Krista Linklater became Executive Director.

The Foundation implemented Blackbaud’s NXT suite, led by Raiser’s Edge NXT, to centralize donor data, improve reporting, target donors and run digital campaigns. The change accelerated fundraising: the #SomeoneIKnow capital campaign has already reached $4 million toward a $5 million goal in under a year and a half, demonstrating measurable improvement in efficiency and community support.
