The St. Louis Public Library Foundation, charged with a major capital campaign to renovate the 1912 Central Library and with supporting the Library’s programs and FRIENDS membership, reorganized in 2003 to boost private-sector support. Lacking a formal database or CRM, the Foundation struggled to track donations, manage prospects, and run consistent, effective fundraising.
The Foundation implemented eTapestry and its eCommerce module to centralize donor records, create fund-specific giving pages, and systematize fundraising. The database now holds roughly 6,000 records, giving staff both individual and big-picture views, faster reporting, more time for strategy and personalized stewardship, and a scalable platform for future growth.
