Sisters of the Presentation achieve key efficiencies in database management

The Sisters of the Presentation, a religious community serving the poor, sick, and uneducated, needed a better way to manage donor data and reduce manual processes—records from events (like returned prayer cards) were stored in boxes and they lacked credit card donation capabilities. They sought an easy-to-learn solution that would organize records, automate queries and reporting, and support online giving.

By implementing Blackbaud eTapestry and Blackbaud Merchant Services the Sisters automated data entry, personalized outreach, and credit-card processing, saving staff time and improving donor relations. Results included daily streamlined thank-yous, doubling online donations from $5,500 to $11,600 in one year, new donors increasing from 142 to 188, a total of $399,000 raised in 2015, and recognition for their fundraising innovation.
