Heritage Christian Academy, a K–12 school in Maple Grove, Minnesota, relied on decades of local service but faced a technology challenge when its former learning management system was scheduled to be discontinued. The school needed a more intuitive, integrated solution—one that made information easy for families to find, reduced complexity for teachers, and supported stronger community-building—because the previous SIS/LMS felt cumbersome and training had been limited to a few staff members.

Heritage adopted Blackbaud’s integrated suite (SIS, LMS, Tuition and Enrollment Management, and Merchant Services) and executed a structured rollout that included a focused “Blackbaud Day,” introductory videos and regular communications, role-specific meetings, Blackbaud University training, screen recordings, and a comprehensive documentation spreadsheet. The result was a smooth transition with clearer policies, better-trained teachers, improved access to information for families, more efficient processes, and a more connected school community.
