San Diego Humane Society provides lifesaving care to nearly 50,000 animals each year across 12 cities and needed to scale quickly while deepening donor relationships. The organization faced challenges in building a sustainable monthly-giving program, improving donor retention, simplifying payment management, and creating a donor-focused, mobile-responsive website to drive engagement.

By implementing Blackbaud solutions—including Luminate Online, Raiser’s Edge NXT, Blackbaud Merchant Services (Credit Card Updater), marketing and analytics—the Society launched its Constant Companions sustaining program, redesigned its site based on supporter feedback, and blended face-to-face and digital fundraising.
