Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, the fundraising arm of Roswell Park Cancer Institute, operates eight annual peer-to-peer events and needed a modern digital marketing and fundraising platform after hitting a fundraising plateau. The organization sought better participant experiences, easier constituent engagement, and more robust backend tools to help individuals and teams raise more effectively.

Working with Blackbaud Services and Cathexis Partners, Roswell Park implemented Blackbaud Luminate Online and TeamRaiser using a train‑the‑trainer approach to empower staff and volunteers. The new tools improved registration, communications and reporting, and an April 2018 Facebook integration produced 802 new Facebook fundraisers in two weeks, drove 26% of online donations, and helped deliver nearly a 20% year‑over‑year increase in fundraising; the Foundation is also piloting MobilePay to boost day‑of donations.
