Rolling Hills Community Church works smarter with solutions that work together

Rolling Hills Community Church, a Tualatin, Oregon congregation that welcomes about 1,800 people to Sunday services and serves 5,000 members, needed a better way to manage finances, donor relations, events, and growing outreach programs. After adopting Blackbaud Financial Edge in 2007 to track activities and drill down into finances, the church still faced challenges with its fundraising and relationship management system—slow, manual journal entries and workflow issues led staff to push for a more integrated solution.

Rolling Hills implemented Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge alongside Financial Edge and is migrating to Raiser’s Edge NXT and Financial Edge NXT with online giving. The integrated solution eliminated lengthy data entry, improved donor and visitor engagement (for example, identifying first‑time donors for personalized follow‑up), streamlined operations, and strengthened the church’s ability to power local and global outreach—changes the staff say they “have never looked back” from.
