A Blackbaud Case Study
Riekes Center, a Menlo Park nonprofit offering athletic, arts, nature and student services, needed a better fundraising system to support its growing programs. Its legacy FileMaker Pro database left staff unable to understand constituent giving or monitor donor histories, so they lacked the time and tools to identify and nurture at-risk and lapsed supporters.
Working with Blackbaud, Riekes migrated to eTapestry, gaining easy-to-run reports and donor segmentation that let them pull a list of past donors and send personalized outreach. The resulting “Lapsed Donor Campaign” brought in nearly $100,000 by year-end, improved collaboration and prospect targeting, and the organization now has the support and efficiency to sustain its programs.
