Red Door Family Shelter, founded in 1982, is one of Toronto’s largest family shelters, serving over 500 families a year. The organization was hindered by an on-premises, clunky database (Income Manager) and a separate online donation app that required manual data transfers, limiting access, reporting, and donor communications as it sought to grow.
Red Door partnered with Blackbaud to implement eTapestry with the SKY UX, consolidating systems into a cloud-based platform that streamlined receipting, automated queries, and simplified data migration. The new tools improved navigation, segmentation, and tailored communications, saving staff hours each week and helping the shelter raise more during last year’s holiday season than ever before.
