Rady Children’s Hospital–San Diego, the sixth largest children’s hospital in the U.S. serving more than 192,000 children annually, relied heavily on online donations and fundraising but faced major operational hurdles: a discontinued in-house donor platform, limited server capacity, monthly eight‑hour EFT batch processing, and time-consuming, error-prone credit card reconciliation that required complex color‑coded spreadsheets.

The hospital moved to Blackbaud’s hosted Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud Merchant Services, MobilePay, NetCommunity, and TeamRaiser, streamlining payments and donor management. As a result they saved an estimated 25–30 administrative hours per month, can run EFT batches daily, grew online transactions from 4,000 to over 9,000 (now >30% of total giving), and eliminated reconciliation confusion with clearer reporting and predictable deposits.
