A Blackbaud Case Study
The Nido & Mariana Qubein Children’s Museum in High Point, NC opened with a small staff and quickly faced overwhelming demand for tickets, memberships, fundraising and marketing. With a four-person guest services team and goals to be an autism-certified, family-focused attraction, the museum needed a purpose-built, flexible technology partner to manage admissions, capacity and donor stewardship.
They implemented Blackbaud Altru and relied on Blackbaud’s customer success and professional services to tie together ticketing, memberships, fundraising, merchandising and marketing, giving staff a 360-degree view of visitors and supporters. The platform enabled online capacity control and event scheduling, helped host donor-focused nights, and delivered strong early results: 1,000+ memberships in the first three months, 140,000 visitors in nine months, and recognition as North Carolina’s Visitor Attraction of the Year.
