Old Brewery Mission, a Montreal nonprofit founded in 1889, provides services and lasting solutions for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The organization needed to grow and refresh its donor base and increase giving, but its previous system (DonorPerfect) left staff creating manual Word® donor profiles and lacked the analytics and mobility needed for strategic fundraising.
After migrating to Raiser's Edge and upgrading to Raiser's Edge NXT, Old Brewery Mission adopted a cloud-based, paperless fundraising platform that gave staff easy access to donor profiles, proposals, and prospect data, reducing manual work and enabling field fundraisers to capture notes and track prospects in real time. The change helped power their See the End of Homelessness campaign and delivered measurable gains: a 3.5% average increase in direct mail donations (2013–2016), support for 4,000 people per year, and help for more than 600 men and women annually to leave shelter life behind.
