Long Island Children’s Museum Selects Altru™ to Gain a Deeper Understanding of Its Members, Donors, and Visitors

Long Island Children’s Museum (LICM) is a leading cultural institution on Long Island serving more than 255,000 visitors annually and dedicated to hands‑on learning for diverse audiences. The museum faced fragmented information across separate ticketing, membership, and departmental systems, making it laborious to track member visits, program participation, and forcing duplicate data entry.

LICM selected Blackbaud’s hosted Altru platform to unify ticketing, membership, and donor data in a single, centrally managed database without buying a new server or handling software updates. The implementation saved thousands of dollars, is expected to boost membership renewal rates, and gives staff better, holistic access to member data for improved segmentation and service.
