Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston brings diverse faith communities together and delivers services across Meal on Wheels, Refugee Services, Disaster Preparedness and Interfaith Relations. Each Thanksgiving the organization mobilizes about 2,000 volunteers to deliver meals; in 2014 it wanted to turn those volunteers into fundraisers to feed more homebound seniors, and a 2015 vacancy on the development team threatened the continuity of the campaign.

They implemented TeamRaiser in Luminate Online to manage and coach volunteer fundraisers and engaged Blackbaud Success Services to run the campaign when staff were short. Volunteers raised $62,422 in 2014 to feed 12,484 seniors, and with Success Services’ support in 2015 they built on that momentum and raised nearly $60,000 despite being down a key staff member.
