The Christie Charitable Fund supports cancer prevention, treatment, research and education by making grants to The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. The charity regularly receives donor data from external sources—often as spreadsheets from events like the Great Manchester Run—which had to be manually validated and entered into The Raiser’s Edge, a task that once required four people up to four weeks to complete.

Blackbaud recommended and the charity implemented ImportOmatic, an importing plug‑in for The Raiser’s Edge. As a result, data import time has fallen from four weeks to about half a day for one person, significantly boosting productivity and freeing staff and time to focus on fundraising and core charitable work.
