FINCA International, a global nonprofit financial institution serving 1.7 million low-income clients in 22 countries, needed to grow its base of sustaining monthly donors but faced limited time and budget for outreach. Identifying which new or renewing donors were both likely to give and receptive to solicitation was the key challenge.
FINCA partnered with Target Analytics to apply Sustainer and Channel Indicators, scoring donors and prioritizing telemarketing outreach to higher-scored segments. The targeted approach more than doubled contact rates (9.9% → 20.4%) and delivered a 48% increase in sustainer pledge rates versus the prior campaign (2.21% → 3.26%); the top-tier segment saw contact rates jump ~382% and sustainer pledges rise 156%, while keeping costs down.
