Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation places specially bred German Shepherd guide dogs using an in‑community model and has helped more than 1,600 people across the US and Canada. Facing a small internal staff and dated digital fundraising practices, Fidelco wanted to modernize its outreach, boost donor engagement across phones, tablets and computers, and turn GivingTuesday into a focused revenue driver rather than a narrow, labor‑intensive effort.
Working with Blackbaud’s suite of tools and services—including Luminate Online, Digital Marketing Services, data health and analytics, and optimized donation forms—Fidelco launched multiweek email programs, landing pages, social ads and a dedicated Day of Giving tied to International Guide Dog Day. The results: a 300% increase in donors reachable by email, 168 gifts and more than $21,000 raised (68% above goal) on the first Day of Giving, Facebook impressions up 100%, and a mobile multi‑page donation form that generated 90% more donation dollars and a 54% higher average gift.
