Case Study: Austin Community College Foundation achieves streamlined donor stewardship and faster scholarship management with Blackbaud

How award management can be even better with seamless donor reports.

Austin Community College Foundation supports students across a district that serves more than 70,000 learners at 11 campuses. The foundation awards about $1.5 million annually to roughly 750 students from more than 3,000 applications, yet is run by a very small team—creating a heavy administrative burden for matching students to scholarships and communicating impact to nearly 200 donors.

By using Blackbaud Award Management and adding Blackbaud Stewardship Management, the foundation launched an online donor portal that centralizes giving histories, fund performance, recipient bios/photos/thank-you letters, and a “Donate” button. Staff can now generate individualized annual reports with a few clicks, move to electronic delivery (printing only on request), save hours of manual work, and provide donors with clearer, more engaging visibility into the impact of their support.
