Hospice Austin, a community‑based nonprofit founded in 1979, provides family‑centered end‑of‑life care to about 1,500 patients a year, emphasizing compassion, dignity and independence. Facing growth and the complexity of managing gifts made in honor or memory of patients, the organization needed to replace its custom fundraising database with a scalable solution to support strategic fundraising and donor cultivation.
Hospice Austin implemented The Raiser's Edge® to build relationships with high‑end donors and grow an endowment. The new system cut gift entry and receipt processing from two weeks to two days, improved targeting for direct marketing, streamlined event management and reporting, and enabled the hospice to raise more funds and expand into planned giving to support its programs.
