Highgate School, a historic North London independent school that recently transitioned to co-education and lower entry ages, tasked its Foundation Office with strengthening alumni relations and online communications. Although the school already used The Raiser's Edge fundraising database, it needed a web-based solution to improve outreach and engagement with former pupils.

The school implemented Blackbaud NetCommunity and integrated it with The Raiser's Edge to launch an alumni website, enable e-newsletters and capture online preferences. Within six months over 1,000 users registered; personalized communications and better reporting improved response rates and targeting, and the richer data helped drive a significant increase in event attendance.
