A Blackbaud Case Study
Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches, founded in 1905, provides interdenominational support to families living in poverty through senior services, after-school tutoring, support groups, and counseling visits to correctional facilities. With donations from individuals, foundations, corporations, congregations, the United Way, and government agencies, the organization managed more than 25,000 constituent records—but its nine human service programs tracked contacts and gifts differently, making prospect tracking, appeal summary reporting, and constituent retrieval difficult.
To solve this, the council implemented Blackbaud’s The Raiser's Edge and The Financial Edge to create an integrated fundraising and financial system. The integrated solution unified prospect tracking, consolidated appeal and financial reporting, and simplified retrieval of constituent information.
