A Blackbaud Case Study
Girls Preparatory School (GPS) is a college‑preparatory day school in Chattanooga enrolling nearly 600 girls in grades 6–12. Although GPS had implemented an integrated technology stack (Raiser’s Edge, Financial Edge and ON products) to streamline operations, change management became a barrier: untrained faculty and staff struggled with the systems, creating the perception that the tools were difficult to use and increasing the IT team’s support load.
GPS addressed this by subscribing to Blackbaud University’s Learn Everything program, allowing unlimited in‑person and virtual training for staff. The targeted, interactive instruction taught best practices, reduced one‑on‑one support requests, generated staff enthusiasm for advanced certifications, and relieved the small IT department—resulting in greater operational efficiency that helps advance the school’s mission.
