Friends Asking Friends Helps Stepping Stones for Women Increase Jog-a-Thon Participation 10 Percent Annually

Stepping Stones for Women is a residential and supportive services program helping single mothers and their children become healthier and more stable. The organization needed to expand its reach and diversify its donor base, run a jog-a-thon to raise funds and participation, and adopt better technology as supporters moved online.

They chose Friends Asking Friends, a simple, cost-effective online fundraising tool to power the jog-a-thon. Since adopting it, event participation has increased about 10% year-over-year; virtual fundraisers contribute roughly 5–10% of annual donations; about 12% of the organization’s 600 donors were acquired through the platform; and funds raised helped boost service participants from 70 to 180 (a 157% increase).
