Free to Breathe is a coalition of lung cancer survivors, advocates, researchers, and healthcare professionals working to double the lung cancer survival rate by 2022. The nonprofit needed a better way to manage many different supporter relationships, peer-to-peer events, donations and sponsorships, and struggled to send timely, personalized communications—what once took an hour for 40–50 personalized emails was slowing their outreach.
By implementing Blackbaud’s integrated Luminate Online, Luminate CRM, and TeamRaiser, Free to Breathe centralized constituent data, automated personalized email templates, and streamlined event management. The result: email tasks that used to take an hour now take about 10 minutes, TeamRaiser manages 15 events and serves as a single information repository, donor and sponsor data are captured more effectively, and peer-to-peer fundraising helped grow the email list by 13%, boosting overall fundraising and supporter engagement.
