Flagstaff Medical Center Foundation raises charitable funds for Flagstaff Medical Center, the only state-designated Level I Trauma Center north of Phoenix serving the northern third of Arizona. The Foundation needed to report all fundraising and expenses to Northern Arizona Healthcare but its Lawson system couldn’t accurately track donations or provide nonprofit-specific analytics, and with a small staff it required an integrated solution that could be managed by one person.

The Foundation implemented Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge, whose easy integration improved donor and gift tracking, fund designation, and the ability to export financials directly to the hospital general ledger. The new system boosted audit readiness and administrative efficiency, clarified fundraising costs versus operational expenses, helped grow donations, and positioned the Foundation to become financially self-sufficient.
