A Blackbaud Case Study
Easter Seals, a nonprofit serving children and adults with disabilities, had an outdated national website with poor design and navigation, an unwieldy 20,000 pages, and legacy CMS technology that made the site unusable on mobile devices and hard to access for people with disabilities. The organization also lacked clearly defined target audiences and needed a responsive, accessible site that would work across smartphones, tablets, and desktops.
Partnering with Charity Dynamics and adopting Luminate Online Marketing CMS, Easter Seals conducted user research, created personas, and trimmed content to 600 relevant pages before launching a responsive, accessibility-focused redesign that better served staff, supporters, and 60 affiliates. The new site improved site management and brand presentation and delivered a 121% increase in mobile traffic and a 52% increase in mobile page views.
