Creates New Revenue Streams with Luminate™ Online

The Charity for Civil Servants, a UK charity supporting current, former and retired civil servants since 1886, provides a wide range of financial and practical assistance and delivered over £4 million in direct aid in 2011. Facing the need to better engage existing donors, attract new supporters and roll out a programme of fundraising events, the Charity recognised it had to modernise its approach and use the internet to reach far more people.

To do this the Charity implemented Luminate Online, a digital marketing and supporter-engagement platform, which enabled new ways to build relationships and run events. Their first Luminate-run event far exceeded expectations, unlocked new revenue streams and supporter connections, and paid for the system within the first year (versus a planned three); three further annual events will be delivered via the platform over the next two years.
