Confederation Centre of the Arts, an award‑winning national arts and cultural hub in P.E.I. that operates multiple theatres, an art gallery, a restaurant and a gift shop, was hampered by a financial system with very limited reporting. The Centre couldn’t track revenue and expenses by show or across its diverse departments, which made it difficult to assess performance, demonstrate transparency and make informed decisions.
The Centre implemented Blackbaud Financial Edge, integrated with Raiser’s Edge, to provide fast, flexible reporting and streamlined processes. The new system lets managers monitor venue- and department-level budgets, analyze show profitability, detect retail issues, reduce interruptions for the finance team and improve accountability and planning.
