A Blackbaud Case Study
The Catholic Diocese of Oakland’s Office of Mission Advancement supports 74 parishes, schools and ministries across Alameda and Contra Costa counties but faced limited digital contactability: of roughly 160,000 constituents, only about 25,000 email addresses were on file, constraining outreach and relationship management needed to execute its mission.
The diocese implemented Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT (with Merchant Services and Online Express), invested in Blackbaud University training and worked with Blackbaud Professional Services to run AddressFinder and EmailFinder. The effort nearly doubled email records to 50,000, raised the data health score by more than a full letter grade, reduced duplicates and expanded the team’s ability to communicate broadly and strengthen donor relationships.
